I just reinstalled Windows on a new M.2 drive and wiped my old SSD to use for extra storage. To avoid losing anything, I backed up my work and games by unplugging the two SSDs where they were stored before the reinstall. Now that I've plugged them back in, I find that programs like Clip Studio Paint don't open properly, even though I can access the files directly. Plus, Steam can't locate its library folder despite me trying to set it in the settings. I heard that Windows might not recognize hardware that wasn't connected during the installation. Is there a way to link these programs back without needing to reinstall everything, especially since one of my programs appears to have reset its settings? Thanks!

You’re going to need to reinstall all your programs. After a clean install of Windows, it doesn’t have any info about the apps on your other drives, so it can’t find or run them.
I figured that might be the case, but is there really no way to just point Windows at them instead of a full reinstall? I'd hate to lose all my settings.
