I've been encountering a random error message from Acrobat Distiller that says "unable to create the temporary folder. Error 5 - Access is denied." This happens even on my own machine, where I have local admin privileges. It just appeared out of nowhere while I wasn't even working with anything related to Adobe. Has anyone else experienced this, and do you know how to fix it?

I've been running into the same error on my work desktop. Pretty sure others are facing it too, but they just haven't put in tickets yet. If it keeps happening, I might just switch to SumatraPDF instead.
I haven’t experienced it myself, but the helpdesk mentioned that clearing your File Explorer recent history might help. It’s worth a shot if you're looking for a quick fix!
It sounds like your temp folder might have read-only permissions set. Just to be sure, check if that’s the case. Sometimes, it's a simple misconfiguration like that. If you can't fix it, consider putting in a ticket so someone can look into it properly.
I've noticed this popping up for me over the last week too. Feels like it's affecting a bunch of users in my organization as well.
Yeah, I’ve experienced the same thing. There are definitely too many users running into this issue.
