Why is Bing my default search engine instead of Google in Chrome?

I've been trying to set Google as my default search engine in Chrome, but I can't find it as an option. The only ones that come up are Chrome and something called Yandex. Every time I select Chrome, it ends up making Bing my search engine instead. Is there something wrong with my settings, or could I potentially have a virus? I'm not sure what's going on here!

If you’re not seeing Google as an option, it might be a sign of malware or adware messing with your browser. Make sure to run a full scan with your antivirus. If nothing is detected, you might want to reset Chrome to its default settings and see if that helps.

When all else fails, look into your extensions. Sometimes unwanted software installs clips into your settings. If you find anything shady, remove it and try resetting your browser settings to get back to normal.

It sounds like your search engine settings might have been hijacked. Normally, Google should be the default search engine for Chrome, so something could be interfering with those settings. Check for any suspicious browser extensions or settings that might have changed without your knowledge.
