I've just upgraded from the free version of ChatGPT to Plus, and I'm really surprised by how much slower it feels. I've always found the free version to be quite responsive, but with Plus, it's like 4 to 5 times slower. Is this normal?

It might be related to how you're using it. If you're working on a long thread in a web browser, it can really bog things down because of the accumulated data. I noticed my responses slowed down a lot on my PC compared to the mobile app because of this. Consider starting a new thread to see if it improves the speed.
One thing to keep in mind is that with Plus, it might be processing more complex requests, which can take longer. If you’re doing a lot of coding-specific questions, that could be it. You might also want to check if your computer specs are up to the task; sometimes older systems can drag things down.
That makes sense. I'm using Windows 7, so maybe I should think about upgrading my setup.
Yeah, I've heard that having a lot of messages in one chat can slow things down too. I’m on Chrome as well—could be a factor!
