Why is my 5060 Ti showing up as x8 Gen3 instead of x16?

I'm using a B550 Gaming Gen 3 motherboard with a Ryzen 5 5600 processor. I have an M.2 SSD adapter installed in the second slot, which is active. When I checked the PCI max link width in Device Manager, it indicates 00000010, which should suggest it's running at x16. However, both GPU-Z and HWinfo show that it's actually running on x8. I previously had a 4060 in this setup but performed a clean DDU reinstall when I swapped to the 5060 Ti.

The 5060 Ti is designed to operate at x8 lanes, so it would have been the same with the 4060 too. Did you not notice it before?

Nope, I never realized that! I assumed the new card would require more lanes, but I'm just happy with the performance.
