I'm experiencing extreme overheating issues with my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52 i5 8300H. Even while just running Roblox and charging, the temperature spikes to 94-101 degrees Celsius. I've tried following some videos on ThrottleStop to manage this, but it hasn't helped. What could be causing this overheating problem?

Have you cleaned the fans lately? A dusty fan can really cause overheating. It's also important to ensure that they’re running smoothly and that you're getting good airflow. I have a different model and it rarely goes above 80°C during gaming. I clean mine monthly. You might also want to limit the CPU to 99% in ThrottleStop—many users say that helps!
Is your laptop actually overheating on the keyboard? Is that from the CPU or GPU? If the keys are burning, you might have a bad battery, or maybe it's on a soft surface blocking the ventilation. Clogged intakes or malfunctioning fans could also be causing this issue—sometimes it’s a combination of things.
It's the CPU and GPU running hot, but I have it on a table, not on a soft surface.
You should check if the fan is actually working. Listen for noises or anything unusual that might indicate it's malfunctioning. If it's running smoothly, that's a good sign!
It works fine with no strange noises at all.
The fans were cleaned about 4 weeks ago when they were repaired, and they're running fine. How exactly do I set the CPU limit to 99%?
