I recently deleted some large games from my C drive (a total of over 150GB), but the free space hasn't changed at all. My recycle bin is empty, and I checked the storage settings in Windows, but the deleted games don't show up there. I've also tried clearing temp files and performing a drive cleanup, yet nothing seems to help. I'm looking for advice on how to identify where the space has gone and how to actually free it up.

If you haven't already, try Disk Cleanup to remove old Windows update files. Just make sure to click on "Cleanup system files" for a more thorough clean.
What process did you follow to delete those games? Did you uninstall them through a platform like Steam or just delete desktop icons? Those details are crucial for troubleshooting this issue.
You might also want to check if any leftover files are hanging out in the Program Files folder. Some apps leave remnants behind after uninstallation.
Have you tried using TreeSize Free? Run it as an administrator, and it should help you see what’s taking up space on your drive. It gives a good breakdown of what's using your storage.
I just used it, but the amount of data I should have free doesn't match what I'm seeing. Something's off.
You might want to check your profile folder, especially the AppData section for saved files or temp files. Also, go to Windows Settings > Storage and check the installed apps to see if there are any leftovers.

I initially deleted icons too, but I made sure to uninstall through the client and control panel.
