Why is My Computer Showing ‘No Internet, Secured’?

For the past couple of months, I've noticed that my computer randomly loses internet access, showing the message "No Internet, Secured". The Wi-Fi connection itself is fine because other devices work perfectly. I usually have to restart my computer three times before the internet starts working again, and this happens about twice daily. Recently, a parental control monitor was installed on my computer, which makes me wonder if that could be causing the issue. I also use a VPN, and sometimes I must stay connected to it to access the internet. I'm pretty sure this is an issue with my device, but I'm stumped on how to fix it. Any suggestions would be great!

It sounds like your VPN might be losing connection, which can cause this message. You could try connecting to a different server to see if that helps!

I had a similar problem, and the fix for me was uninstalling NordVPN along with its related files. I still don't understand what NordLynx does, but it caused some serious issues for me.

When you see 'No Internet, Secured', it usually means your computer is connected to the router, but it's not getting the necessary configurations (like the default gateway or DNS). I've had similar issues, and often just turning the Wi-Fi off and on again was enough. I didn’t need to restart my computer.

Don't forget to disable the kill switch feature in your VPN software; that might be blocking your internet access if something goes wrong.

Are you using a wired connection or wireless? Make sure to update your network drivers; that might resolve your problem.

First, try uninstalling your VPN and its drivers to see if that fixes the problem before digging into the parental monitor settings. See if there's a user account on your computer that isn’t covered by the parental controls. It’s possible that the monitor restricts internet access at certain times too. -- Also, VPNs tend to update frequently and can create various issues across different versions of Windows.
