I booted up my computer this morning only to find the clock set to 12:00 in the year 2825. Logging in took nearly two minutes, and then I faced a black screen. Eventually, I did get in, but the system is running super slow and showing 100% CPU usage. I noticed that interrupts were causing the high usage, and after resolving that, McAfee alone was using about 54% of the CPU. It was perfectly fine last night, plus restarting hasn't helped. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Also, everything seemed to revert back to normal after some time, but I'm logged out of many accounts, and my search history is gone. Does this mean someone might have accessed my computer?

I had similar issues before. The clock fixing itself could be a good sign! If it’s still slow, running some checks could help you out. Did you notice any changes after disconnecting your external drive and restarting? That might've been the key!
What’s chewing up your CPU? Check Task Manager to see the processes listed there. Also, which operating system are you running, and what’s the specs of your PC? That info could really help pin down the issue.
It was McAfee taking up the CPU. I tried shutting that down, but it wouldn’t let me. My OS is Windows, and I think it’s a prebuilt from Stone.

Yeah, I only noticed the slowdown after taking out the drive. Now I'm worried that it could be impacting my PC's performance.
