Why is my CPU overheating after moving my water-cooled PC?

Hey everyone! I recently moved to a new town and transported my mini ITX water-cooled setup featuring a Ryzen 5800X. Since the move, I've noticed that the computer is much louder than usual and it also seems to be running slowly. After a few minutes of use, it shuts down automatically due to high CPU temperatures. I even tried shaking the case a bit while it was running to see if there were any air locks, and the water pump fans appear to be working fine since I can feel a vibration coming from the pump. Despite good circulation, it keeps shutting off after a short time.

I asked ChatGPT about this, and it suggested that I might need to reapply thermal paste and reseat my cooler. Does anyone else think this could be the issue? What other possibilities should I consider?

Yeah, remounting your cooler and reapplying thermal paste is definitely a solid first step. It’s not uncommon for things to get a bit loose or misaligned during a move, and aged or improperly applied thermal paste can really mess with your cooling efficiency.
