I've got a home setup with two routers: a Linksys router downstairs, which connects directly to the wall, and a Technicolor router upstairs. I'm subscribed to Community Fibre's 1Gb/s internet service, and I used to get great speeds. However, about a week ago, my Ethernet speeds dropped to around 90 Mb/s, while my Wi-Fi near the Linksys router still delivers close to 1 Gb/s.
I've got a Cat 7 Ethernet cable running from the Linksys router to the Technicolor router. The upstairs router shows both Wi-Fi and Ethernet stuck at around 90 Mb/s. I've tested multiple Ethernet cables and even connected my PC directly to the Linksys router, bypassing the Technicolor, but the speed is still low.
I'm starting to think there might be an issue with the Ethernet port on the Linksys router or that there's a speed limit mistakenly applied by my provider. This wouldn't be the first time I've had speed issues related to their service. A few weeks ago, they had a mix-up and my speeds dropped to about 30 Mb/s until they fixed it. Now, though, my Ethernet speeds have been strangely limited.

Hey, it might be worth trying to switch the Ethernet cables around on your Linksys router. Since there are typically 4 ports, maybe some ports are acting up? I'm assuming you've tested all of them, but it's always good to double-check. If the problem persists across all ports, the router might have an internal issue or there could be a glitch with your ISP.
Yeah, I tried all the ports already and they all give the same low speed. Seems like something is definitely up with the router or the ISP.
