I'm trying to figure out why my FPS in Fortnite is significantly lower after upgrading my graphics card. I recently built a PC with a Gigabyte Aorus M B450M motherboard, a 650W power supply, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and an AMD Ryzen 7 5700 X3D CPU. Previously, I had an 8GB RTX 2070 Super, and I could play Fortnite around 120 FPS with decent settings. I found a good deal on a 12GB RTX 4070, installed it, and ensured I had the latest drivers. But now, when I play Fortnite on the same settings, I'm only getting around 40-60 FPS, often staying in the 40-50 range. Both my GPU and CPU utilization are high, around 85% or more. I'm wondering if I need to adjust some settings or if something else is going on. Should I just go back to my 2070 and sell the 4070? Any advice would be appreciated!

You might have been using upscaling with your 2070, and now you're playing at native resolution with the 4070. This can cause a drop in FPS. Try adjusting the resolution scaling settings and see if that helps.
Have you tried using DDU to uninstall the old drivers before installing the new ones? Also, make sure your game settings haven't auto-adjusted to higher settings with the new hardware. Sometimes, games tweak their graphics settings automatically when they detect a new GPU. Also, check if V-Sync is on; that could limit your frames to 60 FPS.
I didn't check the settings since I thought they'd stay the same. I also didn't do anything with the old drivers. Do I need to use DDU? I'm still learning about all this.
What should I do exactly? I'm still new to all these settings in games.
