I have an impressive setup with 96GB of RAM, a 4TB 990 Pro SSD, an RTX 5080 (I recently sold my 4090 since it was too powerful for my needs), and a 9800X3D (upgraded from a 7800X3D). Despite this, my computer sometimes lags when using Windows. It's really frustrating, especially when I struggle to open or use my browser. I typically use Hibernate instead of shutting down completely because, after a full shutdown, my PC lags for about five minutes during startup. What could be causing these performance issues?

If you're worried about the RAM, consider disabling the XMP profile and see if that changes anything. It's worth testing to rule it out.
Have you tried checking the task manager? It sounds like you might have some bloatware messing with your performance. Also, not shutting down your system regularly could be contributing to the problem.
I'm curious why you choose Hibernate instead of Sleep. Hibernate is better for laptops and it saves your session to the storage drive, while Sleep leaves your RAM active. Hibernate conserves more power, but there's not much difference—only a couple of watts. Also, have you wiped or reloaded your system recently?
