I'm experiencing a big issue with my i7 9700. Whenever I play games like Marvel Rivals, my CPU usage spikes to 100%, which causes my clock speeds to drop from 4600MHz down to 3200MHz, resulting in some pretty low FPS. I recently got the HP Omen 875 and freshly installed Windows 11, but this problem started immediately. Any advice or tips would be super helpful!

Hey! It sounds like your CPU might be overheating. Have you checked the temperatures while you're gaming? Sometimes, the thermal paste can wear out, so it might be worth changing it if it’s been a while. Just a thought!
I just did a thermal paste change yesterday, but the issue was happening both before and after. The temperature reaches about 82°C, and then my CPU locks at 100% usage and settles around 74°C.
