Why is my internet so slow and how can I fix it?

I've got an internet plan that offers 100 Mbps for downloads and around 20 Mbps for uploads, but lately, I've been experiencing some serious slowdowns. Usually, my speeds are between 50-70 Mbps for downloads and 8-15 Mbps for uploads. However, today, my internet is crawling — it took ages just to load a website like YouTube. When I ran a speed test, I got alarming results of 0.76 Mbps download and 0 upload on one test, and another showed just 5 Mbps for both. I've already tried rebooting my PC multiple times. Any ideas on what's causing this and how I can fix it?

Sounds frustrating! One possibility is to check if you need to update your network drivers. Sometimes the issue lies with your Wi-Fi adapter malfunctioning, so it's worth a look. Also, keep an eye out for any maintenance from your ISP; it's often the culprit for these speed drops, even if they don’t announce it right away.

I checked, and the Device Manager says my drivers are up to date. Plus, my ISP hasn't mentioned any issues lately, so I'm not sure what's going on. This lag has been happening for a week, not just today.
