I've just started using Linux and I've been experiencing really slow download speeds of around 3 Mbps while connected to Proton VPN. In comparison, my speeds are about 600 Mbps without the VPN. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but nothing seems to improve the situation. I'm not very tech-savvy, so I'm looking for any advice or tips on how to resolve this issue.

Just a heads up, Linux operates differently than Windows. Reinstalling apps isn't typically the best way to diagnose problems here. Make sure to check your configuration settings too. You might want to search for 'Linux protocol slow internet speed' for some tailored advice.
I usually don’t face such slowdowns, but it can sometimes help to just wait between attempts while switching options. Maybe trying different profiles might help too.
Have you tried switching to different VPN locations? Sometimes that can make a big difference in speed.
Yeah, I’ve tried different locations, but I didn’t see any improvements. It seems like Proton is having some issues since Nord VPN works just fine for me.

I've fixed broken programs before by uninstalling and reinstalling, so I thought it might help. I'm definitely looking for more Linux-specific solutions.
