I have a 1000/1000 Mbps internet plan, which means I should ideally get speeds close to that. However, recently I've been experiencing download speeds of just 3 Mbps and uploads at 1 Mbps, which is way below expectations. I mainly use LAN cables that I verified could support those speeds, and typically I would see around 200-300 Mbps. It's gotten to the point where I can't even stream movies. To clarify, this issue seems isolated to my PC as my other devices are running fine.

First things first, have you tried checking the speed from different devices? It might help to see if it’s just your PC acting up. Also, make sure you’re running the speed tests directly from your computer that’s wired to the modem, not over Wi-Fi or anything. Sometimes, the way we measure speeds can be misleading.
Have you tried the classic reboot? Restarting your PC and modem can sometimes resolve these weird speed issues. Also, check if your PC's LAN drivers are up to date and whether cable connections are snug. If not, it might be worth changing the cable just in case.
Totally agree! A reboot is often the miracle fix people overlook.
Lastly, have you checked your modem settings for bandwidth control? A quick restart of the modem – like unplugging it for a bit – can sometimes clear out glitches. Also, keep an eye on any reports of outages from your ISP; they might be experiencing issues on their end.
You might want to ping something like google.com from your computer to check for packet loss. If you’re seeing a lot of lost packets, it might hint at a deeper connectivity issue, possibly with your LAN setup.
Is your PC on the older side? Older hardware can sometimes limit internet speeds. If that's the case, a new network card might help. Plus, don’t forget to check the settings on your modem; sometimes there are bandwidth controls set that you might have forgotten about.
Yeah, it’s definitely only happening on my PC. My phone and other devices are all good.
