Why is my iPhone storing 81GB in Photos Data and Documents, and how can I delete it?

I've noticed that my iPhone has a massive 81GB being used for Photos Data and Documents, and I'm a bit confused about why it's still taking up so much storage. I've set my photos to 'Optimize iPhone Storage' in hopes of saving space, and my iCloud shows that I have 134.51GB available. My iPhone is also updated to the latest version, so I'm not sure what's going on. Can anyone help me figure this out? Thanks!

It can be tricky! Sometimes the optimization process doesn't happen right away, especially if you enabled it a while back. It takes time to adjust how your photos are stored, so you might need to give it a few more days to fully optimize everything.

I see what you mean! I turned on optimization a while ago too, and it definitely didn’t free up space immediately. It's worth checking back after a little while.
