I have an Eluktronic Max-15 laptop that I've noticed is performing poorly in games today. Upon rebooting, it started making a chirp noise while plugged in, but the noise goes away when I unplug the charger. The performance actually improves when the laptop is not charging. Interestingly, the chirping continues even when the laptop is turned off, as long as it's connected to the power outlet. I should mention that the laptop was left charging overnight while a game was open, and I'm worried this might have caused damage to the DC port or something related. I'm seeking advice before I consider buying a new charger or taking it to a repair service.

It's unlikely that leaving a game on overnight damaged your charging port. I recommend borrowing a charger to see if the chirping continues with a different one. If the noise persists with a new charger, then it might indicate some hardware issue. Also, if possible, could you share a clip of the chirp? That could help diagnose the problem better.
