Why is my monitor showing a black screen with my PC?

Hey everyone! I'm dealing with an issue where my monitor won't display anything when connected to my PC. The monitor works perfectly with other devices, but when I plug it into my PC, it just shows a black screen even though my PC starts up normally. Currently, I'm using a TV that connects fine, but I really want to get this monitor to work. My GPU only has one HDMI slot, which is also the only input on my monitor. I've updated the Nvidia drivers, but that didn't fix it. Any ideas?

Have you tried connecting another device to the monitor? The HDMI port could be faulty. Even if the monitor works with other devices, sometimes specific ports can fail without obvious signs.

But the OP mentioned the monitor works with other devices! Just saying it might be faulty isn’t helpful.

Right! I had a similar issue where my monitor worked with everything else but not my PC. When I plugged in a different screen, everything showed up just fine.

Check if you're plugging the HDMI cable into the GPU instead of the motherboard. The connection should be at the bottom of your GPU.

What's the make and model of your monitor and PC? It might help narrow down the issue.
