I recently built a PC with an Intel i9 14900KF and an RTX 3070. I got a used GPU that fit my budget and did a fresh install of Windows 11 after factory resetting it. Everything worked well when I tested it on another monitor. However, when I set it up at home with my MSI 32-inch curved monitor for 1440p gaming, I got a VGA light indicator. I've tried everything I could think of—different ports, reseating the RAM and GPU, using different slots—but nothing seems to work. I even used a TV, and still got the VGA light without any display. The frustrating part is that it worked perfectly at my buddy's place, but not at mine. I really could use some help figuring this out!

It sounds like it could be an issue with the display cable. I had a similar problem with my MSI monitor. When your PC and monitor are on, try switching the display port on the GPU to see if that makes a difference.
This might actually be a bad cable, especially if you're using a no-name display port cable. Sometimes, pins can get crossed or malfunction. Make sure you check the pin connections. Also, since things work at your friend's place, maybe there are different settings or hardware influencing it there. Definitely try different cables again, and see if you can borrow one that you know works for sure.
I've tried the same cable that worked at his house, along with two different display ports and three HDMI cables. My monitor even worked on a different PC just an hour earlier. I'm just really confused why it won't connect here!

Yeah, I tried that too! The strange part is that when the PC is on and the VGA light is showing, my monitor flickers with a 'no display' message but doesn’t actually show anything. It just flashes when I power the PC on or off, so it seems like it’s recognizing something.
