I recently installed a new Samsung 990 Pro NVMe drive to supplement my storage, which was running low. The installation went smoothly, but I'm running into issues when trying to download games. Despite my network connection being strong—over 80 MB/s—the disk usage on the new NVMe barely hits 13 MB/s, and the problem persists both in Steam and outside of it. Interestingly, the original NVMe drive works just fine. I've tried resetting my router and PC multiple times, turned off disk caching in the disk manager, flushed my DNS, and checked all my download settings, but nothing seems to work. I'm feeling pretty lost on what to do next. Any ideas?

Here are a few things to check out:
- Make sure to install the Samsung software for diagnostics to see the health of your NVMe drive.
- Verify the PCIe generation and lane configuration of the slot on your motherboard.
- Check the Task Manager's Performance tab to see how your network and disk are performing.
- You might want to run a disk benchmarking tool on both drives to compare their performance.
A couple of questions to help diagnose the issue:
1. Where did you buy your NVMe?
2. Which motherboard are you using? Just because it has an M.2 slot doesn’t mean it supports NVMe drives properly.

I bought it from eBay at market price and it was brand new. My motherboard is the ROG Strix B650-A Gaming WiFi.
