Why is my new PC giving me more problems than my old one?

I just upgraded to a new PC with significantly better specs, moving from a Lenovo Legion with a 1660 Super graphics card to a setup featuring an Intel Core Ultra 5 225F Processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 8GB, a 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, and 32GB of DDR5 memory. I expected a smooth upgrade, but I'm facing several issues: the microphone quality is terrible even with the same headset and software, games lag when I play music, and some games crash to the desktop shortly after starting. I've updated all drivers, reinstalled the problematic games, and checked my audio settings, but nothing has improved. What can I do?

Honestly, returning it might be the best option if it keeps causing these issues. Sometimes, new systems just don't play well together.

That processor isn’t great, to be honest. It’s not just a weak upgrade; it may struggle with multitasking and overall performance compared to your old Intel i5-10400. You might want to check your CPU's benchmarks before committing to it.

How bad is it really compared to my old i5? That one never gave me trouble.

Here's a performance comparison chart that explains it better! It’s a bit of a downgrade.

You could send it back if the problems don’t resolve, but maybe give a clean Windows installation a shot first. It’s usually straightforward; just check out the Microsoft site for guidance.
