I recently bought a new PC that I hoped would perform better than my old setup, but it hasn't been smooth at all. My previous computer had a Ryzen 5 5500 and a GTX 1660 Super, which worked flawlessly. My new build includes an Intel i5-12400F, RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, B760M Aorus Elite motherboard, DDR5 RAM, and an NVMe SSD. However, since day one, everything feels laggy. Apps take longer to open, booting into Windows is slow, and while playing Marvel Rivals, my CPU usage hits 100%, even on the lowest settings. LatencyMon reports high latency spikes related to video and audio drivers. The odd part is that my older setup would stay under 70% CPU usage under similar circumstances. I've tried closing background apps, setting the power plan to High Performance, and even reinstalling Windows and drivers multiple times. The store tested and replaced almost every component, but the only one that remains is the GPU. Given that the problem persists even on a completely new setup, I'm starting to think the GPU or its drivers might be the issue, especially since I've seen others report similar problems with RTX 50-series cards.

I totally understand your frustration. The 12400F might not be the best switch compared to what you had. And if the store tested everything but kept the GPU, that could definitely be a factor, especially since LatencyMon points out issues with the video drivers. Since you've already ensured all drivers are correct, perhaps it’s worth checking if your GPU is actually causing those latency problems, as other users reported similar issues with the RTX 50 series. It shouldn’t be hitting 100% CPU usage on low settings; that’s definitely a red flag.
It sounds like you've really tried everything! But have you checked your CPU temperatures? Sometimes thermal throttling can make a system feel sluggish. Also, I'm wondering why you switched from an AM5 CPU to an Intel i5 when the 12400F isn't that much of an upgrade over the Ryzen 5 5500. Just curious!
Did you install all the necessary drivers for the GPU, chipset, and audio? Sometimes missing drivers can lead to severe performance issues. If you've confirmed they are all installed correctly and even tested older versions, that might still point to an underlying problem with the GPU itself.
