I just installed a Corsair RM850x power supply unit (PSU) and noticed a high-pitched whine emanating from my PC right from the startup. This noise persists whether my system is idle or under high load, and the tone doesn't seem to change. I tried unplugging and replugging the PSU, and there was no sound for a day, but it eventually returned while the system was idle. I've restarted my PC and plugged it into different wall sockets, but none of that seems to help. I'm unsure if the noise originates from the PSU itself, but it started after I installed this unit. Any advice on what might be causing it? I've linked a sound clip for reference: https://youtube.com/shorts/ZMEwTsmB5Fs?feature=share. My specs are: GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT, CPU: Intel i5-12400, Motherboard: Asus Prime Z690-P D4.

It’s very likely coil whine. It can be bothersome, but it isn’t usually an issue. If the noise gets unbearable, returning it for another PSU might be the best move.
Sounds like typical coil whine to me. If it’s more of an annoying whistle or tweet and it doesn’t get overwhelmingly loud, you're probably okay. But if it drives you nuts, returning it would be a smart choice.
It sounds like you've got coil whine on your hands. This is a common issue with power supplies and graphics cards. I recommend reaching out to Corsair for some troubleshooting advice or possibly an RMA. Just keep in mind, coil whine can be pretty hit or miss even with the same model, so it’s a bit of a gamble.
Yeah, it definitely sounds like coil whine. It's mostly just annoying and doesn't indicate a problem. If it's really getting to you, consider returning it to get a different PSU.

Seems like you're right about the coil whine based on all this feedback. It's really bothering me, so I'm leaning towards returning it.
