Why is my new RTX 5070 underperforming with a Ryzen 5 7600X?

Hey everyone! I've just made the switch from an RTX 3070 to an RTX 5070, but strangely, my performance seems worse with the same setup using a Ryzen 5 7600X. I expected to see better results, especially since I've read that this combo should work fine. In CS2, I'm only hitting around 250fps using the same settings as before. I play on a 1080p 240Hz monitor with low in-game settings at a 4:3 resolution of 1280x960. My GPU utilization is around 40-50%, and CPU utilization is at 25-30%. Can anyone help me figure out what's going wrong?

That sounds like quite the drop in performance! First things first, have you checked if your graphics drivers are up to date? Also, it's strange that both your CPU and GPU are under 50% load—that indicates something might not be right with the setup.

I actually did uninstall the GPU driver first and did a fresh install after a reboot. But I’m still stuck on figuring this out.

To address your underperformance, you might want to try using the DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) tool to completely wipe all previous GPU drivers. After that, do a fresh installation for the RTX 5070. This could help resolve any lingering conflicts from the older drivers.

I thought uninstalling through Device Manager was sufficient for a clean install. Is that not the case?
