Why is my NVIDIA driver missing after multiple BSODs?

Hey everyone! I've been having a pretty frustrating issue with my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics driver. After experiencing several Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) errors, specifically a video dxgkrnl fatal error, I noticed that the driver became hidden in the Device Manager. I've attempted to uninstall and manually update the driver, but that just led to another BSOD stating:

SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED
What failed: nvlddmkm.sys

I even tried formatting my laptop (it's an Acer Nitro AN515-57), but the driver ended up hidden again, and the system reported:

"This hardware device is currently not connected to the computer. (Code 45)"

I considered using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to reinstall the driver but I'm scared it might trigger another BSOD. Does anyone have advice on how to tackle this? Thanks in advance! (Apologies if my explanation isn't clear; English isn't my first language.)

Before trying anything drastic, it's a good idea to grab some dump files from your BSODs. If you can access Windows or Safe Mode, navigate to C:WindowsMinidump. Zip the folder and upload it to a sharing site so others can analyze it for better troubleshooting.

You might want to try disabling the GPU in the Device Manager first. An even better option would be to disable it in the BIOS if your CPU has an integrated graphics processor (iGPU). That way, you can check if your system stabilizes without the dedicated GPU.

It sounds like your GPU could be giving you trouble since the driver can't seem to detect it. If you suspect it's malfunctioning, you might want to consider replacing it or testing the card in another system if possible.
