Why is my PC audio only coming from my monitor and not my headphones?

I woke up and turned on my PC, but now all the audio is coming from my monitors instead of my headphones. My headphones are connected, and the system recognizes them, but the sound keeps playing through the monitors. I'm using Windows 11, so any help specific to that would be great!

Just a heads up, make sure your Windows 11 is activated with a key. Some features might be restricted if your OS isn’t activated, including changing sound devices efficiently.

Another quick thing to try is to change it back to your headset from the system tray. If it shows your headphones as the output but the sound is still coming from the monitor, it might be worth looking into the sound settings again.

Have you checked if your headphones are set as the default playback device in the sound settings? Sometimes it helps to disable the monitor as an audio output device, just remember that updates might reset it. Let me know how it goes!
