Hey everyone, I need some advice on a frustrating issue with my PC. I had my computer on and stepped away for a while. When I returned, it was in sleep mode (could have been hibernation). Once I tried to wake it up, it shut down and started power cycling repeatedly. I've tried plugging it into different outlets, ensuring all connections are secure, cleaning out some dust, and disconnecting all USB and HDMI cables. It's odd because when I unplug the power cable and fully turn off the system, it boots up fine. However, as soon as I enter my password after plugging in a keyboard and reaching the desktop, it powers off and starts cycling again. I'm thinking it might be an issue with the graphics card, motherboard, or PSU. I have some videos if anyone needs more details.

You might want to check the Windows Event Logs as they can provide clues about what's causing the power cycling. You can find them under 'Computer Management' in the Event Viewer.
You could start by booting your PC in Safe Mode to see if it runs without crashing. If it does, then check your startup programs in Task Manager and disable them one by one, rebooting each time, to identify the problem program.
That sounds like a solid plan! But what if I can’t even get into Safe Mode?

Will I need to be logged into the desktop to access those logs?
