Why is my PC randomly shutting down after upgrading my GPU and PSU?

I recently swapped my GTX 1650 for an RX 6600 and also upgraded to a new 750W power supply unit (PSU). I made sure to uninstall all Nvidia drivers beforehand, but now my PC has been behaving oddly. During gameplay, it sometimes shuts down like it's losing power, but the lights stay on. After a few moments, the fans spin back up and then shut off again in a loop for about ten seconds. Here are my specs: RX 6600 (used), Ryzen 5 1600, 16GB RAM, Chieftec 750W (used), 1TB HDD, 240GB SATA, and a B450M H motherboard. I've heard that outdated motherboards can cause issues; could that be the problem?

It sounds like your PSU might be the culprit. Chieftec is known for some pretty unreliable units. Do you know the specific model of your PSU? It could be that the new GPU is drawing more power than your PSU can provide, especially if it’s a lower-end model.

I actually caught a part of the issues on video! Here’s the [first part](https://streamable.com/nleot1) and [second part](https://streamable.com/f6xqte) if you’d like to check it out.

I can't find the exact model; it was pretty cheap at 25 euros. A bit of a red flag, right? I’ve got a feeling the cables might be more of an issue too. One of the pins on the PSU doesn’t have the safety plastic, which could be sketchy.

Did you make sure to install the new drivers for your RX 6600? Just uninstalling the old drivers won’t automatically install the new ones. If you haven’t, be sure to grab them from AMD's site. Also, if you still have your GTX 1650, it could be a good idea to swap it back in to see if you still face the same issues.

I did install the Adrenalin software, and it showed the driver version in the hardware tab, so it looks like it’s good.
