Why is my PC randomly shutting down and the power button won’t respond?

Hey everyone, I built a new PC in February with these specs: Ryzen 7 9800x3d CPU, Asus x870e Crosshair Hero motherboard, Corsair 6400mhz Dominator RAM running at 6000mhz, Corsair HX1500i PSU, Gigabyte 5080 OC GPU, and a Ryujin III 360 Extreme cooler in a Phanteks NV9 case. Recently, I faced an issue where the PC just powers off randomly. There's no warning or logs in the event viewer, but the RAM RGB lights and the power button light stay on. However, the power button becomes unresponsive. The only way to get it back on is by turning off the PSU from the back, draining it by pressing the power button, and then powering it back on. I've monitored the CPU temps and voltages; they seem normal, with the CPU at 35C, the package at 43C, and core voltage at 1.030V. Any help or advice would be really appreciated since I'm quite worried about this!

It’s good that you have a powerful PSU at 1500 watts, which should be more than enough for your setup. Some suggest checking if everything is connected properly, especially the power cables. Have you tried reseating the RAM or checking for any loose connections inside the case? Sometimes, it’s the little things that cause these issues!

Yeah, I checked the connections, and everything seems tight. I'll try reseating the RAM next.

You mentioned your core voltage is at 1.030V, which, according to my research, isn’t enough for your CPU under load—ideally, you want it in the 1.1V to 1.35V range during standard operation. It’s worth checking your voltage settings in the BIOS because underperformance there could lead to instability and random shutdowns. Just a thought!

That's interesting! I'll definitely look into the BIOS settings and see if I can adjust it, thanks!
