Why is my PC showing only 8GB of RAM usage when I have 32GB?

I've been having some trouble with my computer's RAM usage. I have 32GB of DDR5 RAM at 6000MHz, and for a while, everything seemed fine. However, lately, my RAM usage has been unusually high, often showing around 24-26GB used, leaving me with just about 8GB for my games and applications. When I check Task Manager, it shows only about 8GB of RAM in use, and I'm struggling to figure out what's causing this issue. Does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this problem?

It sounds like there might be a memory leak happening somewhere. Sometimes, even if you close applications, they might not release their memory properly, leading to higher usage. You could try restarting your computer to see if that helps clear up the RAM. Also, check your background processes in Task Manager to see if something unexpected is running. Sometimes, it's as simple as an application that forgot to close properly.

That makes sense! I've had issues with programs not closing right too. I’ll keep an eye on my processes next time I run into this.
