Hey everyone! I recently installed a larger SSD to accommodate more games, but since then, I've been experiencing terrible stuttering in my games. Before the new SSD, I could run Horizon: Forbidden West on Medium settings without any issues, but now the frame rate is awful—even in the pause menu! The same goes for Oblivion Remake, which used to run smoothly on Medium settings with frame generation enabled. Now everything chugs, even emulated games like Duckstation. I thought maybe I had knocked a RAM stick loose while moving my heavy tower, so I reseated them, but it didn't fix the problem. My friends looked at my task manager and pointed out that my HDD shouldn't be showing 100% usage. I checked the inside of my PC for any loose cables but found nothing wrong. Things have improved somewhat—my HDD usage is down to around 40%, and RAM is hovering at 80-90%—but it's still not performing as well as it used to. Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

That’s definitely a good idea! I would recommend checking those settings first too. It’s amazing how much they can affect performance.
I took a look at my page file settings as well. For reference, C is the original SSD with the OS, D is my HDD (I mistakenly named it 'games' when building my PC), E is an external drive, and N is my new SSD. Just an update: everything's running better now except for Oblivion, which is still sluggish for some reason.
You might want to check your page file settings. It’s important to ensure you don't have page files on every drive, especially if there's one on the HDD; it might need to be disabled to improve performance.
