Why is my Realme C53 phone not responding to touch inputs properly?

I'm having some issues with my Realme C53 where it doesn't always respond to touch. For instance, when I try to type, it sometimes just holds down a key for a few seconds before working again. Similarly, when I swipe, it gets stuck. I've tried troubleshooting based on what I found on Reddit. I removed my phone cover, which helped a bit, but the issue still seems present. I also tried booting into safe mode; everything looked good until I had to enter my password, which caused the screen to go black repeatedly. An app called Quickstep crashed, and after that, the phone wouldn't respond no matter what I did, forcing me to restart back to normal mode. I'm curious about what might be causing this problem.

It could also be related to a specific app causing conflicts, especially if Quickstep is crashing. Are there any new apps you recently installed around the time the problems started? If so, try uninstalling them to see if the touch responsiveness improves.

Good point! Sometimes, apps can cause unexpected behavior, so it’s worth checking into.

It sounds like you might have a couple of potential issues at play. Sometimes screen protectors or phone covers can interfere with touch sensitivity, but since you've already tried removing yours, that might not be the case here. The fact that you’re getting those black screen flickers and crashes makes me wonder if it's a software issue or even a hardware problem. Have you tried resetting the phone to factory settings? Just remember to back up your data first! It might clear up any glitches that are lingering.

Yeah, a factory reset can definitely help. Also, make sure that your software is up to date, as sometimes updates fix bugs like this.
