I bought a SanDisk SSD Plus with 2TB a few years back. Recently, I noticed that a game that used to boot up in 15 seconds is now taking over a minute and a half. The speeds reported in the task manager show it's only hitting around 60 MB/s, while it's advertised to reach up to 450 MB/s. My SSD shows as 100% active in the task manager. Is this a normal decline in performance, or is there something I can do to fix it?

It sounds like you might be experiencing performance degradation, which isn't uncommon over time. If you haven't already, consider formatting the SSD; it can help restore performance temporarily. You might also want to run a tool like HDTune Pro to check the SMART status and perform a surface scan. Just remember, before doing any fixes, check the health status of the drive first to confirm what’s going on.
It could be a sign of the SSD starting to fail, especially considering the sudden change in performance. If the health status shows no errors, try to defrag (Command Line: defrag c: /x) to see if that helps. It will move the data around, which may refresh it a little, but it could also increase wear on the drive in the long run.
Make sure to double-check your connections. Sometimes speeds can be affected by using the wrong ports. If you're connected via SATA, you should be fine, but if there’s an issue, that could explain the slower speeds. It's also worth confirming the specs again; the drive should advertise speeds around 520 MB/s, so something seems off.
