Why is my secondary SSD not showing up after upgrading my primary SSD?

I recently upgraded the primary SSD in my ASUS UX305F for more storage space, using DiskGenius to migrate the OS from the old SSD to the new one. However, now my secondary SSD isn't being recognized; it doesn't show in BIOS or disk management. Interestingly, the second SSD works fine when I switch back to the original SSD in the primary slot. Has anyone experienced this issue or have suggestions for troubleshooting?

Considering your laptop is a bit older, it might be that the secondary SSD just won’t play nice with newer hardware setups. Sometimes older systems have compatibility issues with newer SSDs.

That makes sense. I was wondering if the age of the laptop might be causing it!

Have you checked if your BIOS is up to date? Sometimes an outdated BIOS can cause hardware recognition issues.

Yes, I've updated to the latest version already, so the BIOS shouldn't be the problem.

It might be that your secondary SSD only works in a RAID configuration on your laptop. You can find the necessary Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver on the ASUS support page for your model. That could potentially resolve the issue.
