I've been trying to update a 60GB game on Steam, and after letting it run for about 12 hours, it's only downloaded 10GB. My download speed is hovering around 550KB/s. I have a solid internet connection as I never encounter these issues anywhere else.
I've already tried multiple solutions I found online, such as changing my download region, ensuring Steam's speeds aren't capped, disabling Windows Defender, restarting my router a few times, and limiting any other tasks while the Steam download runs. Despite all this effort, I'm still stuck at 550KB/s. Just to compare, I paused the Steam download to run a 30GB update on the EA Games app, which finished in 10 minutes!
Going back to Steam, my download speed is back around 500KB/s with an estimated 28 hours left for the 45GB download. I'm really frustrated at this point, so any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Steam can sometimes throttle downloads. That's a pretty low speed for you! It might help to restart the download and hope it connects to a better server next time. Just keep in mind, sometimes specific regions can offer better speeds.
Launching Steam as an administrator can sometimes make a difference. Have you given that a shot?
Oh, I didn’t even think about that! I’ll try it now.
Have you tried disabling the write cache for your drive? That might help with the speed issues you're facing.
No, I haven’t tried this yet. How do I do that?
Just curious, what’s your usual download speed? Are you using an Ethernet connection or wireless?
I usually get 200Mbps down and 100Mbps up, and yeah, I’m on an Ethernet connection.
Yeah, I’ve restarted so many times, but I noticed that using the Moscow server actually gives me around 630KB/s, even though I’m in New Zealand!
