I've had my Windows 11 PC for almost three years now, equipped with 32GB RAM and an RTX 4060Ti. Lately, it has been running extremely slow. It takes forever to load anything after startup, and when I try to use Chrome, it just buffers nonstop. YouTube videos won't load above 360p without buffering issues. I checked my internet speed, and it's showing a solid 200mbps download and 40mbps upload, so it seems like my connection is fine. I've also updated all drivers manually, cleared cache, and removed unnecessary software, but nothing has improved. Additionally, using a VPN makes my internet speed drop even more. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Is your slowness affecting just your internet activities, or are other applications slow too?
It sounds like your system might be experiencing issues at startup. Open the Task Manager and see if there’s anything that’s maxing out your CPU or disk usage. That can help you identify what's hogging resources.
First, check what type of drive your operating system is installed on. If you're using a 2.5" SSD without a DRAM cache, it could be slowing things down, especially with random read and write operations. Those drives can be pretty sluggish under load.
You should download CrystalDiskMark to benchmark your drive. That'll give you a clearer picture of its performance. Don't forget to share the results!
I’ll look into that, thanks for the tip!

It's mainly the internet-related stuff that's slow. I can use word processing programs and other applications without any issues.
