I've noticed that my C drive, which contains Windows and the operating system, is taking up quite a bit of space. Windows itself is around 50GB, and the Users folder is nearly 40GB, with both Program Files and Program Files (x86) taking up about 12GB each. This seems excessive to me, and I'm unsure how to clear up some space. Any suggestions?

If you're still having issues, you might consider reinstalling Windows from a USB drive. It can free up a ton of space and start you fresh. Just make sure to back up your important files first!
50GB for Windows isn't ideal but also not unheard of if you've been using your system for a while—it can accumulate a lot of garbage over time. The Users folder usually holds stuff from your Desktop, Downloads, Documents, and temporary files from programs. To really get a look at what's taking up space, you could use tools like WizTree or WinDirStat to identify large files that might be safe to delete.
It's a software you can download. Just run it, and it'll give you a visual map of what's eating up space on your drive. It's pretty user-friendly!
Besides running Disk Cleanup, there's the option to check for any unnecessary programs or files on your drive. Consider clearing out unused applications and old files you might not need anymore.
Running a disk cleanup is a good first step. You can find it by searching for 'Disk Cleanup' in the Start menu. Make sure to check the box for cleaning up system files like old Windows update files too.

What exactly is WizTree? Is it a downloadable software or something built into Windows?
