I recently purchased an LED clock that requires a 1 amp, 5 volt USB charger to function. The clock doesn't have a battery; it just relies on the charger as a power supply, but it didn't come with one. Unfortunately, all I can find in stores are 5 volt, 2 amp chargers. My question is, if I use a 2 amp charger, will it damage my clock's electronics?

Nope, you're totally fine with that 2 amp charger!
Unless the clock was designed really poorly, you should be just fine using that charger.
Yep, it will work just fine! No worries about burning out your clock.
You're totally good! A charger can output higher amps, it's just the voltage that needs to match. Since the USB standard is 5 volts, you won't have any issues there.
Using a 2 amp charger is okay because it only delivers what your clock needs. The charger rating is just the maximum it can provide, so it won't push more than 1 amp to your clock.
