I have a work laptop and a personal laptop, and I've noticed a huge difference in performance on the same monitor. My personal laptop is an MSI Bravo 15 C7V with a 144Hz refresh rate and a good GPU, while my Dell Latitude 3450 work laptop only has integrated graphics and runs at 60Hz. The new monitor I'm using has a 200Hz refresh rate and works flawlessly with my personal laptop. However, when I connect my work laptop, the experience is terrible, and I start getting migraines. I'm under strict IT policies due to HIPAA, so I can't switch laptops. Can anyone suggest what might be wrong or what I can try to resolve this issue?

Make sure your work laptop's video drivers are up to date. Without IT’s permission, that might be tricky, but there might have been updates around December. Definitely bring it up with them!
It's confusing about the HIPAA connection, but sometimes, specific security protocols require certified hardware. You should check if your monitor is truly running at 144Hz when connected to your work laptop. Sometimes it defaults to 60Hz, especially if the built-in display is still active. Closing the laptop or disabling it might help you get that higher refresh rate.
Yeah, exactly! Sometimes the GPU or drivers in the work laptop might limit the refresh rate, so just checking the settings can make a big difference.

Thanks for the tip! I'll ask IT about that tomorrow because I'm stuck with the October version.
