I'm new to using Sway as my window manager for Ubuntu with Wayland, and I'm facing a frustrating issue where applications take forever to open. For example, the app center, Thunderbird, and Firefox all take around 30 to 40 seconds to launch, while Alacritty starts up just fine. I haven't made any changes to the configuration, so I'm using the default Sway settings. Can someone help me figure out why this is happening? What information do I need to provide to troubleshoot this?

It could be related to desktop portals. Check if `xdg-desktop-portal-gnome` is running because, in some cases, it can cause delays. On Sway, you just need to have `xdg-desktop-portal-wlr`. If you have both running, it might be worth removing `portal-gnome` to see if that speeds things up.
Hey! First off, can you share your system specs? Knowing what hardware you're running can help a lot. Also, how are you launching the applications?
