My roommate has a Panasonic Smart TV model TC-50AS530U, and he's having a frustrating issue with the YouTube app. About 90% of the videos he tries to play just show a black screen, while the remaining 10% work fine. We can't seem to find any pattern as to why some videos play and others don't. We've already attempted a few troubleshooting steps like unplugging the TV for a minute, deleting and reinstalling the YouTube app, and resetting its data, following Google's suggestions. My roommate isn't very tech-savvy, and he's been pestering me to help him sort this out. Any advice would be great!

It might just be a temporary issue with YouTube or the internet connection. I saw that Cloudflare has been having problems recently, which affects many websites including YouTube. You can check out Downdetector to see if there are any ongoing issues today. If the problem persists over the next few days, you might want to try checking the network settings on the TV or even updating the TV’s software.
