I have a Gigabyte Aero X16 1WH laptop, and I've been struggling with the GPU not staying active. The software manager, Gimate, indicates that my GPU is stuck in power-saving mode, turning on only occasionally. I've tried a lot of different troubleshooting steps, including using AI tools to analyze the system. I thought I'd fixed the issue when I updated my drivers and uninstalled the integrated GPU (iGPU) driver, which made my CPU function properly. Unfortunately, after installing an NVIDIA driver, the GPU issue returned, especially after I reinstalled the iGPU driver. When I force the MUX switch, it stays on temporarily. I also adjusted the Windows power settings for both plugged and unplugged modes to performance, but it doesn't seem to help, as it defaults back to battery saver mode on its own. Here's a quick list of everything I've done so far: reinstalled various drivers in multiple ways, checked Windows files per suggestions, and confirmed that my charger isn't the problem. This has been a long process, and I could really use some advice on what to do next!

It sounds like you might be dealing with a hardware issue. If your laptop is new, it's worth checking with customer support for warranty help. It could potentially save you a lot of hassle!
Have you tried switching it to balanced power mode instead of the performance mode? Sometimes laptops will use the integrated GPU for lighter tasks and only switch to the dedicated GPU for heavier workloads. Just a thought!
Yeah, I’ve toggled those settings around too. The performance game mode didn’t help keep it consistent for me either, but the MUX switch seems the most reliable.

That would really suck! It’s tough when it’s a new PC and you already have issues. I’d recommend reaching out to their customer service ASAP.
