Why isn’t my .html file opening automatically with my default browser?

I'm having trouble with .html files not opening automatically in my default browser, even after I've tried switching it up. The only way I can open them is by right-clicking the file and selecting a browser manually. When I do this, I see an option that says 'Open just once', but there's no option for 'always open with this browser.' I even reinstalled the browser, but that didn't fix the issue. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Sounds like you're on Windows! Have you checked the properties of the .html file? Right-click on it, select Properties, and then look under the General tab. There you should see 'Type of file' and 'Opens with' fields. You might be able to set it to your preferred browser by clicking 'Change...' if it's not already selected. Let me know what those fields say if you still need help!

Exactly! That option can definitely fix the problem. If it shows the wrong browser, just switching it from there should do the trick.
