Why Isn’t My Keyboard and Mouse Working in Windows 10 After Moving My PC?

I recently moved my computer, and now my keyboard and mouse only work in the BIOS and Windows recovery mode. When I get to the Windows 10 login page, they stop responding entirely. I tried resetting my PC, but it gives me an error and doesn't do anything. I also can't revert to a previous version of Windows because the same problem happens. I've looked up solutions for BIOS settings online, but nothing seems to help. Is there anything else I can do to fix this?

I faced a similar problem, and it turned out to be due to corrupted drivers after moving my PC. Try booting into safe mode and reinstalling the USB drivers. I found more detailed steps online, which helped me resolve the issue!

Unfortunately, the problem still happens in safe mode, so I can't use my keyboard and mouse there either.

You might want to go for a clean install using a USB drive. You can use a live OS USB (like Hiren's or Ubuntu) to check if your keyboard and mouse work there, and it’s a great way to back up any important files before you start fresh. Just remember to delete the system partition when you do the install to avoid any leftovers that could cause issues.

Thanks for the tip! I’m not exactly a pro with software, but I’ll look up how to do that clean install and follow your advice.
