Why isn’t my new GPU being recognized by my system?

I recently installed a new GPU, and initially, it switched to integrated graphics for about three minutes before the GPU started working. After uninstalling the old drivers and getting new ones via the NVIDIA App, I was prompted to restart my PC. However, after the restart, it's been over 15 minutes and my system still doesn't recognize the GPU. One thing to mention is that during installation, the PCIe slot didn't click when I put in the new GPU. I subsequently tried reinserting my old GPU, but it also didn't click. I read online that if it doesn't click, I could manually flick the lever, which I did, but I'm still stuck and don't know why it's not working now.

Hey, just a quick check: have you made sure to connect your monitor to the GPU? I know it sounds basic, but sometimes people accidentally leave it connected to the motherboard.

Did you remember to plug in the power cable to the GPU? I’ve overlooked that before, and it caused issues for me.
