Hey everyone! I'm having a bit of a problem with my Seagate external hard drive. It suddenly stopped appearing in File Explorer, but it's still showing up in Device Manager under "Disk Drives." This started last night when I tried to play a game that's on the drive, and I got an error that the directory didn't exist.
I checked the drive, which has had a faulty cable for a while. When I unplugged it to reposition it, the light stayed on (it glows white), and my computer made noises as if it was connecting and disconnecting. I tried using another Seagate cable I had, but the drive still only shows up in Device Manager and not in File Explorer.
I've read that there could be an issue with the USB SATA bridge in the drive itself. I'm really hoping there's an easy fix because I have a lot of important Unity projects stored on it!

Check if the drive is visible in DISKPART. You can do this by opening the command prompt and typing 'diskpart', then 'list disk'. If your drive isn't there, it might be more serious than a simple connection issue.
It sounds like you might be dealing with a cable issue. Since your drive is recognized but not showing up, it could be that the cable is faulty. Try a different USB port or a different cable. If that doesn't work, the SATA bridge could be the problem.
