Why isn’t my SSD showing up in Disk Management despite being detected in BIOS?

I've recently added a third drive to my computer—a WD Black 1TB SSD. I already have a 2TB Samsung 990 Pro and a 4TB Samsung 990 Pro. The issue is that, while the BIOS recognizes the new WD drive, it doesn't show up in Disk Management. I've tried refreshing, restarting my PC, and searching through partitions across my drives, but no luck. I even used diskpart commands in CMD, but it still doesn't show up there. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

This kind of issue isn't too rare—SSD is seen in BIOS but fails when accessed, which often indicates a problem with the connection. Make sure the SSD is seated properly in its slot. If possible, test it in another PC or an external USB housing to check if it behaves differently. It’s also worth noting that SSDs can sometimes have specific compatibility quirks with different motherboards.

It sounds like there might be a couple of things going on here. First, check your motherboard manual. Some motherboards disable certain ports if specific slots are occupied. Also, consider whether Fast Boot is causing issues. When Fast Boot is on, Windows doesn’t fully shut down, which might prevent it from recognizing new drives. Try disabling it, or hold down the Shift key while shutting down for a complete reboot and see if that helps.
