I recently switched my Acer Swift 3 laptop to Debian and now I want to install Windows 11 again. I've cleared the disk using some commands in the Debian terminal, formatted it as NTFS, and created a new GPT table. However, the Windows 11 installer isn't recognizing my SSD. Here are the steps I've already tried:
- Checked the disk using diskpart, but it still doesn't show up.
- Booted into a live Ubuntu USB; the disk appears there with one partition visible.
- Reformatted the disk from the Ubuntu USB.
- Downloaded the IRST driver from Acer, but it doesn't show up in the Windows load driver utility.
I also can't find any relevant options in the BIOS pertaining to the SSD.

Regarding the RST driver you downloaded, ensure it’s in the right format. If it's a zip file, you need to extract it correctly and place the contents in the root directory of the USB installer. Windows looks for specific drivers, so if it's not showing up, check that you have the correct version for your hardware.
Before you dive deeper into BIOS or additional formatting, double-check the SSD’s status in the BIOS settings. Make sure it's enabled and properly detected. Also, consider trying a different USB port for the installer, as sometimes compatibility issues can cause disks to become invisible during installation. If that doesn't work, try using another USB drive for the installation media; occasionally, the drive can be the issue.
